Democracy on the brink

Democracy on the brink

How the U.S. government distracts the public

Since the inauguration of the current U.S. president, the political landscape has changed drastically. The world watches closely as the United States plays a role in international conflicts, but is this merely a smokescreen for what is really happening behind the scenes? While attention is drawn to geopolitical tensions, executive orders are being signed at the national level that could potentially undermine the very foundations of democracy.

What exactly is written in all these hastily enacted executive orders? It is not unthinkable that advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence are being used to meticulously analyze the U.S. Constitution for weaknesses. Perhaps scenarios have been carefully devised to systematically render democratic principles powerless. The outlines of these strategies may already be visible in policy decisions, legal battles, and political maneuvers that are interconnected.

A concerning aspect is the behavior of the president himself. His erratic and impulsive actions suggest that psychological factors play a role. His tendency to blame opponents for his failures and his constant need for admiration evoke associations with narcissistic traits. Moreover, he seems to be deliberately placed in a position by his entourage where his extreme reactions can be used as a political weapon.

A leader driven by his own psychological instability and whose behaviors are deliberately exploited by his closest advisors can pose a threat to the stability of a nation. Where warnings once focused on autocrats and abuses of power, the line between democratic leadership and destructive egocentrism is becoming increasingly blurred.

The question is: how long will the world remain focused on external conflicts without seeing what is happening beneath the surface? The real threat to democracy may not come from outside, but from within.
